The cribbage game has a monetary value.  In a normal game the payout is 2 and 20.  Two dollars for the game and twenty cents a hole.  Every five holes then equals a dollar.  The payout however can be altered in a couple of ways.  At the initial cutting of the deck for deal, if the low card cut pairs with another cut the game doubles and becomes 4 and 40, four dollars for the game and forty cents a hole.  The players who paired cut the deck again.  As unlikely as it seems, if the cards cut pair again the game quadruples and becomes 8 and 80.  The players continue to cut until the deal is decided.  The skunk lines will also affect the payout, however only for the players on the skunk side.  A single skunk in a normal game the payout is doubled, 4 and 40.  The double skunk line 8 and 80.  If the game is already doubled, these skunk payouts change accordingly.  The following chart will help avoid confusion.
