​​ The cribbage game has a monetary value. In a normal game the payout is 2 and 20. Two dollars for the game and twenty cents a hole. Every five holes then equals a dollar. The payout however can be altered in a couple of ways. At the initial cutting of the deck for deal, if the low card cut pairs with another cut the game doubles and becomes 4 and 40, four dollars for the game and forty cents a hole. The players who paired cut the deck again. As unlikely as it seems, if the cards cut pair again the game quadruples and becomes 8 and 80. The players continue to cut until the deal is decided. The skunk lines will also affect the payout, however only for the players on the skunk side. A single skunk in a normal game the payout is doubled, 4 and 40. The double skunk line 8 and 80. If the game is already doubled, these skunk payouts change accordingly. The following chart will help avoid confusion.
